Dustjackets and their magic. I'm a simple mind that is swayed by the allure of a dustjacket and buy a book just for it's cover art. If I hadn't been on Centipede Press' subscription plan, this is one of those books I would have bought just for the dustjacket without knowing anything about the book or author.
With Centipede Press books you always have to check underneath the hood and admire the cloth boards which will often reveal elaborate foil and blind stamped designs, and in the case of the Library of Weird Fiction you can find a facsimile signature of the author here. Anyways, Centipede Press' Feesters in the Lake is no exception to why the dustjacket can capture your attention:
