This quote from The Fellowship of the Ring (1954) was reprinted by kind permission of HarperCollins Publishers Ltd and approved by the Tolkien Estate, who hold the copyright to the published works of J.R.R. Tolkien. The quote is also known as The Riddle of Strider, a poem by the character Bilbo Baggins.
The image of the inscription from the One Ring ("One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them"), in Black Speech (the language of Mordor) and Tengwar script with Feanorian characters (from the Elven language), was impressed via hot foiling in gold on a John T. Marshall hot foil press at Green Street Bindery.
