Is Collectible Book Vault free to use?
Yes it is! The blogs can be read without even signing up as a member. If you want access to the bibliography pages you have to sign up as a member which is still free indefinitely. You can do this privately and shield any data from the public web. As a member you get access to the bibliography book pages which provide you with photographs of the book and signature pages, information about artists for the book and who signed the signature page. For some presses we have added detailed descriptions of production values. You will also see frequently updated current secondary market value of the book which is based on CBV collected data and is presented as the median of the last 3 or 5 prices the book was sold for. Patron plans have more details on values, but will show the same median book value as non-patron-members. While a book is only worth what you are willing to pay for it, these data should give you some direction.

Is there a way to support the website?
Yes there is. The Patron Plans will allow you to support the website by helping to cover server costs for hosting and email services. As a sign of gratitude they come with extra's that are not available otherwise.
The Electrum plan will allow access to the market value overview pages which present all books of the same press in 1 page and add a last sold price and last sold date.
The Gold plan will allow access to everything the site has to offer and is the only plan with access to detailed value pages which can be accessed from the search bar, individual book bibliography pages or from the market overview page. It will show details of the last 5 sales and inflation corrected value of the book.

Why does every book show up twice when I search for it?
Every search will yield 2 results: 1 for the bibliography page which is accesible for all members and 1 for the detailed value page which is only accessible to Gold patrons.
DISCLAIMER
All market values are compiled from our own database. We use publicly available data and data from private sales with permission of the seller and/or buyer. Values shown are median prices from the last 5 sales or the last 3 sales for rare books. Date of last sale recorded by CBV is shown as well. Some books appear so rarely on the second market, that median prices aren't representative of contemporary value. Feel free to contact us if you have questions about current market values or feel an update is necessary.
No rights can be derived from these data. Use this information at your own discretion. The Collectible Book Vault is not responsible for any agreements between buyers and sellers of the books that are presented on this website.

If we do not own the books ourselves we use publicly available pictures. We try to find original owners of photographs and ask for their permission to share their work. We cannot determine ownership for all photographs that are used so if you see your book or photograph on this website without your permission, then contact us via email contact@collectiblebookvault.com
Indicate whether you want to be referred as the rightful owner of the photograph with proper credits or if you want it removed.
